Just perfect for the intended task and reasonable pric.
It's a cheap alternative flap stay to use only with lightweight material, you can use two, one on either end to attach something a little heavier, just bear in mind that part of it is made of plastic so if anyone leans on it, it will most likely break.
I don't expect it to last a long time as it bends quite easily. Does the job for now but I can see myself replacing it eventually.
Easy to fit and decent quality. Would definitely buy again
Comes in 2 parts and easy to put together. The end of the bar then needs to be bent (I used a vice and a light hammer to get a sharp bend). However, it’s easy to accidentally bend the bar during the process which means the bar doesn’t run smoothly through the slot. It works and does the job I needed it to do and for the price it’s ok as a cupboard door limiter.
Very cheap, but different from the photo and not to my liking. Will be going back...
Once I bent the metal some more, I could use this to stop a wardrobe door opening too far.
these stays are cheep and cheerful. But just about do the jpb. There's a slight kink at the end of the bar to prevent it from sliding right through. It requires placing in a vice and setting at a right angle
I had to return as not fit for purpose. Unlike photo there is no nib on end to stop slider coming off. Therefore useless for supporting lid / flap. I've seen that I'm not alone in raising this issue in reviews.
Was given refund without problem, but item needs to be withdrawn until manufacturer corrects design.
Arm could be easily shortened if required, do the job OK to support drop flaps
needed a little modifying to fit as in other reviews once done ok
The design of the stay has been changed so instead of a little stud at the end to hold the door in the down position there is just a kink in the arm at the very end. This means to make it hold you have to tighten the brackets. This in turn makes the action of the door very stiff. There is a balance to be achieved between needing to be Atlas to open the door and the stay being capable of holding the open door at all.
They might be cheaper to make but they are not as effective.
Adequate for price. However the stop as supplied is impracticable, it does not work. The stud as illustrated is missing which means when opened the stay easily come out if the plastic fitting. I had to remedy this by drilling a small hole in the end of the stay and once fitted using a small pop rivet as a stop. Then worked perfectly.
A good quality stay at an excellent price. A+++++++
Easy to fit no instructions but it’s easy to work out good value for money
Basic but does the trick for the money. If you can afford it maybe think about a gas soft opening cupboard stay.
The stay supplied was not as illustrated. Fixing the plastic guide tightened the grip on the stay putting stress on the hinges. I will be searching for a replacement.
Very small and light, not suited to the job I needed them for, but that was my fault for choosing the wrong item
Neat little flap stay and fairly easy to jnstall
