Thin enough to have feel when welding but offer heat protection
I didn't buy these for welding. A week prior I was using an angle grinder to cut the metal cage tops of IBCs and I burnt holes in my gloves. As I had more to do I thought the welding gloves would work. They were excellent and at one point I had to put a glove over the sparks coming off the grinder and I felt nothing and the gloves were fine.
Good quality gloves, would be better if a range of sizes were offered
A bit thin and therefore not likely to have too much heat protection. Main problem is they come up small therefore difficult to get on and too tight.
These are low cost TIG gloves. Although the quality seems fine and for the most part the fit is snug, unfortunately the fingers are too long. If you have long fingers and thumb then these would be ideal but if not then they are pretty useless for TIG welding where you need dexterity.
I an not returning them as they may make a decent pair of gardening gloves
Great value for money, these gloves are comfortable while offering the needed protection.
I didn’t buy these for welding so no idea if they’re any good for that but they are perfect for removing brambles. They’re soft and thin enough to be comfortable yet tough enough to keep out the toughest bramble thorns. Cheap too. Just a shame they have to be ordered in.
Nice soft leather and good fit. Did not buy for welding though. For the fire pit!
Excellent quality welding gauntlets at a great price,
Comfortable soft yet tough and protective. I have purchased several pairs of these
These allow you to feel what you're doing and protect you from heat and UV. Great gloves, great price
Nice and light for welding, but strong enough to withstand the occasional attack from the angle grinder.
comfortable and well fitting, doesn't loose any feel of torch in hand.
Unfortunately toilstatuon appear to have cganged their supplier for the tig gauntlets fron portwest to weldtig. Quality isnt dissimilarand fit for the palm, wrist and thumb the same but the fingers are nearly an inch longer so now complerely useless to me for the fine work, welding and especially grinding. Had about 4 pairs over the years. Very disappointed. Recommended these to dozens of folks over the years. Wont be buying more.
Comfortable to wear. Value for money. Bought for taking hot/warm ash pan out of multi fuel stove.
