Great Quality larder pull out and easy to install, lovely operating product
very good mechanism with straight forward fitting instructions
Not as solid as previous model. Baskets rattle may be different when filled with content.
The first one sent out was missing parts but after a quick call a new one was sent out. As a whole its quite good for the price point.
Did require some “jerry rigging” to get it perfect.
The spacing of the baskets could do with some additional holes too.
Good quality engineering, it slides out very easily. Only had 5 shelves, the one it replaced had 6 shelves a different supplier and no longer available. The new larder unit was easy to fit
Good quality product and very good next day delivery
The photo and description for this product (500mm larder) is in fact a cut and paste of the 300 and 400 variants, which are described as 'A centre mounted unit allowing full access to either side of the baskets' where the door is hung on the front of the pull-out.
The 500 however is not; it is designed to sit in a larder with a traditional left / right-hand hung door that when opened, is attached to an arm that pulls out the larder. Hence 'pull and swing' although nothing actually swings; you open the door and the larder comes out.
Meaning it IS NOT accessed from both sides.
It is however not a bad piece of kit for the money; previous reviewers have compared it unfavourably to a Kessembohmer pull-out, but lets be fair here and compare apples with apples - a Kessebohmer does not cost £230.
What you get is worth 4.5 stars; the description however is completely misleading and could cost you dearly if your customer is expecting a product as per picture.
Once you are clear what you are getting, then a good value product with a very quick install time.
Great item. The metal shelves are quite low on the side so be carful not put tall glass items at the end. They are also slightly wobbly. However am extremely happy with them
Works well and very good value for money at the time I bought it.
For the complaints about the rocking baskets, It was very easy to rectify with a slight squeeze with a pair of grips before fitting the baskets to make it a tighter fit.
The main thing was the customer was happy with the smoothness of the runners and how much could fit on each basket
Not as sturdy as the one we were replacing. The shelves have only a central support and are wobbly.
Well built, looks good, but really not sure about the top fixing
Half the price of other units I’ve bought so expect half the quality . The baskets tilt and wobble as they are loose fitting , the sliding mech isn’t a patch on kessenbaumer as it’s just a cheap roller at the top which feels sloppy . I’ll not be buying another one . You get what you pay for
Order was received promptly, but two of the baskets were missing. This wasn't noticed until the main body of the unit was assembled and installed in the kitchen unit - entirely my fault to be fair as I should have double checked everything, but they are wire baskets which were interlocked and packaged together so it wasn't obvious there was anything missing (I suggest you check thoroughly!).
Toolstation were unable to send out the missing items, so I'm now faced with having to de-install a perfectly good working unit to return it and re-order the same unit to then re-install it. My concern is that the cabinet now has screw holes in it, and the integrity and robustness of the re-install will likely be compromised.
The unit itself is well made and easy to assemble and install (some fiddly bits do benefit from an extra pair of hands).
I give 5 stars for the unit itself, but have to take two off for Toolstation's inflexibility in helping a customer.
The top runner is wider than the wheel that gets fixed to the top of the cupboard. This means the whole unit can wobble around when it is pulled out.
Also, the baskets are simply hung on the frame and not fixed. This means if you put something on one side (a couple of tins for example) then the basket tips and pushes into the side of the cupboard. So when the unit is pulled out it will scrape along the inside of the cupboard. The runner isn’t particularly smooth and not soft-close.
For that amount of money I would have expected better.
This was purchased a few days ago and delivered very promptly. It was straightforward to install and makes accesibility to 'back-of-the-shelf' items very easy.
Extremely happy with product and service from start to finish. No problem at all.
Not as robust as more expensive options, but serviceable and decent value. The top is held in place by a single roller and it tends to hop out if it is pulled too vigorously.(More expensive versions have a full set of rollers top and bottom.) The instructions don't quite match the contents and I guarantee that you will be scratching your head over a lot of extra hardware at the end wondering 'where does this go?' (answer..... It doesn't!)
