Shower Wall Plate

Pointless you can’t fit them to the front of tiles. Not what u expected

This shower mixer wall plate is simple to install and with 100% accurate pipe centers, only a fool would not be able to use it successfully. It is a smart design which lends it`s use to traditional and contemporary styled bathrooms and shower rooms. With a quality chrome finish to enable long continuous usage.

These are ideal for the DIY person, or the professional, easy to install, and big help to centralise your shower, I like to have some timber behind the screw holes, making it a solid fit.

This was ideal for the shower that I was installing. Please note that you need access to rear of the wall for onward connections. I connected the short lengths of 15mm copper pipe to it before I screwed it to the wall panel. It went together smoothly and the shower just connects directly to it. Would recommend if you can plumb on the wall behind the shower.

Unlike all the other shower bar fixing kits which slide over the protruding pipes with the nuts tightened from the front, this one requires you to tighten the nuts up inside the wall.
The installation instructions give no clue as to how they expect you to do this. Even if you had access to the back of a stud wall the nuts would be within the thickness of the tile board/plasterboard and tiles.

I can only assume that the manufacturers expect you to leave the pipework loose so that the bar can be fixed on by forcing the pipework back inside the wall. If this is the case, the holes in the finished surface would need to be wide enough to accommodate the nut so would barely be covered by the plate which is only 38mm wide.

Overall a very poorly designed fitting.

I was not impressed by this shower plate. The attachment for the shower unit was Limited, too small. I had to return that shower plate and buy a more expensive one. The photo doesn't show how small the threading is until the purchase the plate.

Looks good and makes fitting the bar shower easy. Sits nice and close to the tiles.

Excellent product, good quality chrome. You do need a loose 3/4"BSP nut to tighten the 15mm compression fittings though most of us would have one.
