I only needed the centre part of the trap as my own one had broken in several places. Fitted perfectly. These traps are obviously very good as mine has been in place for over 20 years!
A previous review stated this doesn't have a water seal, that is WRONG IT DOES, it doesn't have a 'hair trap' but they generally do nothing any way, bottom is removable but you will need at least 60mm clearance under the trap, or you can clean it from the top, if it's only minor
I didn't use all of the trap, I only needed the part that screws into the trap from the shower tray, I expected it would be ok, they have a standard thread which makes at least that part interchangeable, which is fortunate, I would otherwise had to remove the rest of the trap that involved taking up the floor, not an option. So a good solution to anyone out there that has a similar problem to me.
Basic shower trap. Easy to install. Does not have a water seal so any smells in your pipes can come back into shower.

Good value, better than expected for money.
I just swapped my old chrome flacking cracked filler neck for this white plastic one, the new round grill flips over to be used as a tightening aid,useful when access is limited.
Nothing wrong with the trap, it's simple to fit and ideal for my 'hidden waste' shower tray.
I am more frustrated with Toolstation though, specifically the lack of technical information on the website about many items they sell.
This one is only a 70mm flange size so may not be suitable for some (possibly newer) showet trays ...as other reviewers have noticed!

Returned by myself as top fitting did not fit my tray.
Fitted it to the shower tray yesterday and looks fine still have to connect waste.
bought this as a replacement for a broken 10year old shower tray waste. Product is strong and well made, has no sharp edges etc. Fitted easily and no leaks. Very pleased.
