The Rustins Quick Dry Enamel Radiator White Satin Paint (250ml) is a heat resistant, low odour, water based paint that is touch dry in 30mins.
Suitable for radiators, it can also be used for fridges and other white appliances.
Do not used on oil filled electric radiators.
Used to touch up areas prone to rusting. Works well once rust is sanded. Good quality and finish
Rustins is a very good radiator paint, which is easyvto apply and covers very well. Also, very good value for money.
I have carried out all instructions exactly and found that after three coats it barely covers the colour of the primer. Perhaps if you are “freshening up” a radiator it will be suitable, but I am disappointed. If you need to take a radiator back to bare metal, do yourself a favour and save a lot of hassle and buy a new radiator.
The paint is perfect for the job drys super quick and easy to apply
Great quality product at a very competitive price. 100% recommend
This paint just doesn't flow well (as you would expect a gloss paint to) so drys with brush marks even though I was able to paint the radiators in a horizontal position. I gave two coats and if I'd had time I would have then used a very fine wet-and-dry before a third coat but life is too short.
Does what it say son the tin - goes on nicely - dries quickly - two coats needed - washes out in water
The paint does what it says on the tin. The radiators are looking good
This is a good paint.
I only problem is with the tin, if you open and close the tin a few times, the top of the tin twists and it makes it very hard to seal the tin and reopen again.
Very good coverage. Nice consistency and looks good when dry.
Yes does what it says on the tin good that you can clean your brush with water
Had let my bathroom radiator get a little rusty. Gave it a quick sand then applied rusting radiator paint. Went on really easily. I expected to see bumps and brushstrokes but needn’t have worried. It looks good as new.
If like me, you are after a small pot of enamel for a quick sand and freshen up of some copper radiator pipes, then this is not for you! Anywhere the sanding uncovered a glimpse of copper pipe, this paint and its water based nature caused the pipe to go green with corrosion and then flaked off within hours. In its defense it does state that bare metal requires a metal primer, but I've been using real solvent based enamel for years because it does not require a second pot of primer for a quick touch up. I've re-sanded my pipes, bought some proper enamel and now have great looking pipes, no thanks to this product. Avoid.
Great price point. Easy to apply, brush or small roller
Just decorated my kitchen and needed to brighten up a dull storage heater. I painted it white to go with the various items in the room. Very pleased with outcome.
in stock when i needed it.
Great paint quick drying making over painting easier and quicker. Covered the primed copper pipes easly.
Easy to apply paint, doesn't ruin the paintbrush either. Quick dry.
Good coverage, though only used on new radiator piping. Time will tell if any discolouration occurs but looks great.
Good quality. Easy application. Quicky drying and nice clean white finish.
Great product.... just needed it to cover some marks and it worked a treat on a towel rail. Someone said it was a bit thin but I didn't find that.
