Snapped on the first pass. Do not bother buying this.
I bought this one and a more expensive version. This one broke on the first pass whereas the other completed the job without complaint and remains ready for the next task. You get what you pay for!
Seems ok, not used it yet but I keep getting emails to review it…..
As a few reviewers say you get what you pay for, bought two both snapped! Just bought 3 more to try & get the job done as can’t find any other 4mm bits.
Just what I wanted and worked well, Would use similar product again.
It does the job it is supposed to do. It cut a relatively clean groove in chipboard. I have much more expesive bits that do not perform any better. Unsure how long it will last though, but at the price it is you could not complain
Good little router bit, certainly for the price. I gave it 4 stars because I would have liked the cutting length to be longer but 20mm seems to be the norm.
The assistant did know the size of the sank and confuse for the size of the cutter
Does as intended, take small bites with it rather than try to make a deep one time cut. Be mindful that because of its small size it can quickly overheat. I needed a little bit of clearance working with an eighth of an inch panel that needed to slide, this bit was ideal
Good price for a tool that does the job.
Cuts cupboard backboard channels well.
Just take it easy. I did snap one and had to get another which I believe was me overheating it (was in a rush) but at this price and instant local availability, not a problem.
Snapped on second pass. First pass on a two mm deep drive in oak was ok but second pass to go slightly deeper and it snapped.
What can you say! The Stanley blade of router cutters! For the price It’s the disposable option! Admittedly if you’re working on brand new wood day in day out it’s probably not for you, I can imagine the carbide is cheap and blunts super quick but speaking for myself working on old painted things many’s the time I’ve been happily buzzing along and BOOM hit a broken fixing hidden in the wood..cheap or ridiculous any cutter is toast so hurrah for these..get a handful and keep them in your kit for mishaps in uncharted territory. They also come in some odd sizes like 4 and 5.
Awful item wasn’t expecting miracles at this price so started off small 3mm deep trench in OSB board lasted less than 20 seconds before it snapped so not fit for purpose should be removed from sale in my opinion, I would of given minus stars if possible
Used for a one off job on some floorboards. It would not be appropriate for extended precision woodwork. This bit was relatively cheap and I got what I had paid for.
Good quality decent price.Cut through wooden sleepers easily
Good product at a good price, I only wanted to do a couple on channels so I didn't want buy Freud or Trend bit. It worked great for a couple of quid : )
Broke on first use, very very poor. I would not recommend
Cheap router, OK for small jobs but it doesn't stay sharp for long on chipboard. It could be the junk put in chipboard these days (recycled wood with hard non wood bits included).
Nice bit of kit and cheap good value, would purchase again
I bought this to router in a light track in mdf board, the bit snapped. I then bought a second one which also snapped.
I was unable to complete a 1600mm groove with two of these router bits.
Really poor quality!
