Just had a little emergency repair to do on my extension roof, this was cheap and the local toolstation depot is less than 1 mile away. Decided to give it a go and it worked as expected, I may not get to use it again which was the reason I opted for a cheap ripper.

Good basic ripper. The only downside I found was that the rubber grip slips off quite easily.
Excellent value for money. Just the thing to remove old broken slates.
For the price this is a great tool. You can pay more for a longer reach, but this pulled out 600mm old welsh slates without a problem and nice and thin enough to get under tightly fitted slates. Can't fault it for the price.

Not used as yet ( awaiting weather to settle) looks pretty robust, there are more expensive rippers out there but I only need to use it for a few loose tiles. Click and collect from Aston Birmingham and as usual the staff were fast, friendly and efficient.
Easy to use, nice handle. Area to strike with hammer could be larger and hook part sharper to cut through clouts better.
Only needed it for one job so thought I purchase a budget one but found it to be good quality and did the job well have used it several times more and paid for itself time over

Broke within a week of use, not worth buying at all. You are as well spending the little extra and getting a decent forged one
Very easy to handle and use , bought to replace my old one that had finally died. The hooks to grab the clout nails are a good size and very effective, in short it’s great quality and value and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the market for a slaters ripper.
Very pleased with my purchase. Did exactly what it is meant to. I was able to remove the old broken slate and replace with a new one within a few minutes. Would recommend.

Handle broke off after using it twice, must of been a bad weld on the hit area
