Tried to hire a rotavator for a job I’ll say no more. This pick axe has been so good for unsettling the ground and has been a god send.
First strike very disappointing. Feel the tool is too light to do any real work. Was expecting it to at least make a hole in the soil embankment but it just bounced off.
Made digging out around pond so mych easier. Was in stock unlike other places

I didn't expect such quality. I bought it for gardening and was afraid it would be too light but it turned out to be perfect.

We used this to dig a 24 inch deep trench for some armoured electrical cable. The ground was really heavy clay but the pick just tore through it. It's not heavy either. Basically it's just a very good, straightforward tool.

Very helpful for digging out bamboo roots. Be careful though as the head can fly off!
