Roughneck call this a roofer's [pry] bar and hammer, though it is also a nail puller. I don't feel confident using the back of the curve as a hammer. While it can do roofing battens, it has many uses. It can be tapped from the back on the flat area to get it under the wood to pry. For better leverage it could be 2 inches longer. Also, I notice the end prongs could break with force, as other reviews have found. So it is necessary to get the end of the bar as far as possible under the wood to be lifted. With Roughneck tools I do wonder generally if Roughneck have got the balance right in hardening the steel, as there is a point where the steel can get too brittle and easy to break. Overall, this tool is a brilliant idea.
Very useful tool for removing floorboards. Better than a wrecking bar as it's more sturdy and can be hit harder with a hammer.
I find this tool more useful than a standard crowbar. It has a flat area on the swan neck that allows you to whack it with a hammer. Great for all types of deconstruction. I bought this one after loosing the one I have had for years.
Sturdy tool which I bought to lift T&G floorboards. Has a flat section behind the claw which you can hammer to prise the board up enough to lever. Then the nail puller is well proportioned to grip the nailhead though sometimes I had to use a pair of angled end cutters to pinch the nail head up enough to grip.
Great bar for separating timbers when nailed or removing nails...
Only negative is i have snapped one of the two prongs stuck out on my old one so had to buy ghis new one... but still great being L shaped ,gets in places normal shaped crow bara cant
Excellent tool for prising up floorboards. Easy to order and pick up from Toolstation
More useful than it looks, handy in many situations
Seems good quality and fair price .
L shape, very good for lifting pins
Don't know how I've managed never having one of these tools. A simple tool that really works
Excellent product and price feels strongly made. And haven’t had no problem with it yet
Great addition to my tool cabinet.
I had to take out some old chipboard flooring which had been soaked in a water leak. This tool was the perfect size for removing the soggy bits of board and pulling out the rather rusted in nails.
A very useful tool for separating two materials that are nailed (or screwed) together. Very good leverage with comfortable handle. The thin but strong tip allows ingress into a very narrow gap and the nail remover deals with stubborn nails of up to 6 inches in length.
What a great tool for those tight place, great leverage. Great on floor boards
good size & weight, works well
