First 3 hits were fine then the end came loose from the handle.. I haven’t contacted the store yet so this is not aimed at toolstation, just product quality.

I bought this hammer to facilitate the wood splitter wedge that I also bought. It does the job ! No question.
Nice light sledge, not heavy enough to do real work but fine for an old git like me to knock survey pegs in, can't manage much more! Comfortable shock absorbing handle, like the larger face for its weight. BUT it wont stand up on its head. Every other sledge hammer I have ever had has stould securely on its head with the handle pointing upwards. This one immediately falls over forcing you to bend down to retrieve it. Its a major pain. I am going to recommend this because its good otherwise but it wants the design rectifying.
Good hammer ..went for the 10lb in the end very good design makes a huge difference over old style slegde hammer.
