These things can split almost any log, knots and all
Good weight splits easy once I got use to it as I’m use to a thinner maul
Heavy log splitter - I bought this to get through some ash that my 2.5kg maul was bouncing off. This worked better. It could be improved by a metallic protective sleeve to shield the shaft in an over-strike.
Does the job well breaking down wood into small sizes for the small burner
Wouldn't have purchased this maul if I could have tried it beforehand. My main gripe is that the handle is too round and that means loss of precision / control. The handle is also slightly (2 or 3 inches) too short for me (but I am a tall person). It does push the parts apart very well and it doesn't stick. It also vibrates more than a wooden handle. Unfortunately it doesn't come close to the ash maul it replaces.
