The additional handrail gives a real advantage by helping to prevent "tripping" on the stairs. It offers a greater sense of security especially to the elderly or infirm. This kit was of excellent quality with robust fittings and pleasing appearance. Instructions were clear, the only change I made was to use beefier screws and wall plugs as our wall was made from Thermalite blocks, so rather soft.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this kit and ease of installation. Used a chalk line to strike the guide line rather than pencil as suggested but fixing is very straightforward and doesn’t require any special DIY skills. Pleased with the result and no hesitation in recommending.
Looks great on my stairs. Really easy to fit following the enclosed instructions. All screws and plugs supplied even a small drill bit. Very pleased with the result.

Lovely handrail, only problem is that the grub screws are made from very soft metal. Even after drilling pilot holes, the screw heads easily snap off. Pack needs to contain a few spares.

Good quality product with clear installation instructions. One useful installation tip in older houses with potentially crumbly walls is to begin by fitting a suitable length of 69x20mm (3x1) planed wood to the wall before starting.

All round a nice kit. Unfortunately the pre finish of the oak was not. It was very rough and with small splinters on two of the poles. Had to use fine sandpaper and then put wax on it to make it smooth then positioned the area on the underside.
Excellent kit, just what was needed. Son-in-law and grandson found it easy to fit following the detailed instructions.
