Great product does what it says on the tin, odour free and easy to apply.
Easy to apply treatment that sets hard and repairs soft wood ready for filling and painting.
Works well, useful for solidifying crumbling and rotted timber
It required several applications but left little residue and no odour once the acetone solvent had evaporated.
The acetone of course had a go at anything else that was soluble in it - CA glue, hot melt glue.
Once it had finished saturating the rotten wood it did leave a surface film which is shiny.
Used to protect some rotten exterior timber. Even in the cold and damp weather the hardener worked very effectively and cured hard in less than an hour.
Good price and worked perfectly for restoring some wood skirting that had been damaged from getting too damp.
It’s the ideal solution when areas of softening or rotting wood is discovered where the rot is not too extensive nor likely not to compromise the structural integrity of timber.
Great product toughened the wood enabling the work to be carried donecwithout additional costly expense
Used to harden a section of wooden window beading that had rot before filling. Gave a good solid base for filler to adhere to.
Had a problem with wet rot on window sills. Cut out the rotten sections and coated the area with Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener, and once dry filler the area with a section of wood and smoothed the edges with filler. Great product.
Great product and instock same day as required for job
The problem is not with the efficacy of the resin solution itself but with its application. Applying a solvent with the viscosity of water to the bottom of door frames is straightforward, but rotting wood, in my experience, usually affects rafters and casings that are above where the handle of a brush can be positioned. So the stuff has a high chance not only of ruining brushes, as it immediately soaks deep into the ferrule, but a significant portion follows gravity onto your cuffs and down your arm.
Normally, I'd transfer low viscosity solutions like dilute PVA or stabiliser solutions into a washed out kitchen cleaner spray bottle or something similar, but with a solvent like this, only HDPE (high-density polyethylene) or polypropylene will do, and such spray bottles have to be purchased separately.
Bottom line is that this stuff, particularly as it need to be applied repeatedly to soak into the rotted area should be sold with a bespoke solvent-resistant spray nozzle.
Treated rotten section of wood with 2 coats applied by brush. Drilled small holes to allow better penetration. Felt solid after treatment a dapplied woodfiller for additional support
Does what it says on the tin. No staining of surrounding area.
Used this a few times, goes on easy and soaks in well. Not sure how mush is actual hardener and how much evaporates - much like very runny superglue
Used this before , so can recommend it. Not cheap but it is a quality product

Easy to use, and hardened the soft wood left after scraping out the worst of the rotten area in a large fence post. Has very high VOCs, which I am allergic to, but my non-diy husband applied it perfectly!
Works well - used on rotten window before filing with Toupret wood filler.
Works really well, better than i expected, i well definitely use again
