Easy to apply with remarkably good coverage. I used this to repaint a much damaged garage floor. The floor had been painted previously but was deeply gouged and scratched. After filling the holes and rubbing down to provide a good key, I expected to need several coats just to cover the filler. The instructions imply that a minimum of two coats would be required. However, a single coat provided good cover. I then did two more coats to build up a good layer of paint.
Other's reviews have suggested the product is 'watery'. This might be because it has not been adequately stirred. I found that the pigment had settled to a thick layer at the bottom of the tin and I probably stirred for around 5 minutes with a whisk on my battery drill before the paint showed an even consistency with no streaks of dark coloured pigment appearing.
The tin suggests that 5 litres will provide 3 coats over 20 square meters. My garage is about 18 square meters and I used only half the tin for 3 coats. In part, this may be because the floor had previously been painted rather than being raw concrete.
Suggested drying time is 4-6 hours. Perhaps because it wasn't too warm and the air was humid, it took a lot longer than 6 hours for each coat to dry to a matt finish. I left it about 24 hours between coats.
Time will tell whether the finish really is 'Diamond Hard'. For the moment, I'm happy with the appearance.
3 coats did the job on sealed concrete very nicely. Stood up to considerable traffic just a few days later
I bought those garage floor paint thinking it was better than the Leyland alternative being almost £10 more expensive. I followed the instructions exactly sealing my new concrete first then applying 3 coats. Absolutely great finish applying it a with roller. Problem came when it first rained, my wet footprints going in and out of the garage quickly turned the paint into wet paint again and was now paddling wet paint footprints out of the garage. When attempting to mop the wet areas it just fetches the paint up. Absolute joke not fit for purpose would have expected better for this brand and almost £56 a tin!
Very pleased. Did what it said on the tin.. I was a bit worried as temp was around 10 deg but dried quickly and so far looks great. Was easy to apply also
Car tyres pulled up the paint quite easily and scratches
Excellent product and easily did the job on a garage floor
I have applied 3 coats but as yet I cannot comment on how durable the paint is. Once it has been used a few times with wet vehicle tyres travelling over it I will be able to judge its wear and tear better. In the past I have used garage floor paint which has peeled offone wet vehicle tyres have been over it .... hopefully this will not be the case with the "Diamond hard" paint.
Excellent.used today had 2 coats applied with a fencing brush. Spreads easy covers⁸ great. It's an old garage.so floor wasn't great but looks ten times better already..
Great product and Toolstation were veer helpful in ordering it on for next day collection.
my reveiw is i was told to pick it up it was not there from monday to friday still no TXT
Worked really cover well with one coat, but adding another two to be safe
Covered well, brush painted straight onto concrete floor
Good hard-wearing paint...think I made a big mistake applying with a brush and ended up with streaks..redone with a roller...much much quicker and really good results
My newly built garage and concrete base were allowed to dry out for a few weeks, before sweeping all the dust up and sealing it with a good quality concrete PVA floor sealant that I simply applied with a wide yard type brush. I followed the instructions provided on the tin and found the garage floor paint to have excellent coverage and applied two coats, which resulted in an excellent and hard finish. After quite a few months of use, I can confidently say that I am very pleased with this product.
Does as expected . The floor is now painted and is a grey colour
Used the paint for a boiler plinth, all good coverage
Brilliant fast service with good products all at a local outlet
Used this recently, goes down well and good coverage, water based so drying time is pretty good even in cold conditions, did the recommended three coats and seems to have covered well , time will tell how long it stays down for .
Good product, but surface preparation is key. Best applied to a clean, dry, new floor in summer temperatures. Have used this product multiple times, most recent to a very old damp concrete floor in November ! - it did take multiple days to dry off completely, but I'm happy with the result overall given the challenging conditions ( oil stains and dampness etc. ).
Excellent coverage goes on effortlessly with a roller will definitely use again.
