Ronseal should be charged with miss selling it takes at least 3hrs for a thin skim,I don’t know how they have got away with saying it takes 5min to dry.
It’s a strange light foam that takes hours to dry. It doesn’t adhere that well either so takes a bit of messing about.

I chose this filler for its quick drying statement and was really pleased that is did dry so quickly. What surprised me was how light weight the product is and so easy to use, smooth and rub down ready for painting over.
I looked at other poor reviews for this product and ignored them, that was foolish. In my opinion this product is not at all fit for purpose, I don't know what purpose it would have. I tried to fill a small area to a depth of 9 to 10mm, the area was completely dry and I packed the filler in as instructed. After a couple of hours I checked it and it was completely soft even though the room was at 20C and low humidity. So I waited 6 hours and it was still completely soft, I then dug it out and started again. The product left a thin film on surrounding plaster that would not sand down properly and I damaged the surface trying to remove it. So attempt no. 2, packed the filler in firmly, waited 24 hours and it was still soft, eventually after 60 hours I thought it may have solidified but it had a sort of dryish skin and was completely soft allowing a gentle poke with the finger to cause a significant dent. I checked again today after about 84 hours and it's still soft with a dryish skin. It also causes an odd film on smoothing tools etc. that is difficult to remove. This product has not only wasted a lot of time but it has resulted in damage that will need to be repaired.
Not as good as pollyfilla 5min !!!!!!……………………………..

Wierd stuff, extremely light, very easy to apply, finish off with wet knife and it leaves a no sag glossy finish, ready to paint in 5 mins.

Initially thought that this was expensive but it is amazing!
Weighs virtually nothing but so easy to use and get a perfectly flat finish that doesn't need sanding like normal fillers.
Dries in no time and doesn't shrink so I'm really glad I paid the extra and worth every penny.
To coin the well used phrase does what it says on the tin!

Excellent product for small holes/cracks very malleable and smooths to a good finish.
Very smooth finish, can be finish sanded. I left for couple of hours. Says u can paint in 5 mins but dont think it would be hard enough to sand then As a tradesman you need fast filler. No time to wait for it to dry or harden
Nice easy to use filler . Sands down easily. Very good ready mixed filler
Takes a little longer than it says on the tub, however it is easy to apply and smooth finish.
Drys rapidly as stated and it’s a fine smooth finish , minimal light sanding required , perfect for quick job and not waiting hours for it to dry

I was very disappointed with this product ! It says on the tub can’t be drilled or screwed into ! Website info contradicts this! It certainly doesn’t dry in 5 mins ! It is very light and has a dry paste type consistency with poor adhesion properties unlike normal Ronseal filler I’ve previously used with success ! I won’t be using it again much better fillers are available! 👎
Bought this filler mainly because of the manufacturer however one strike filler is the same at a third of the price . Did the job no problem but next time I’ll just buy one strike
