Excellent value replacement masthead amplifier to compliment the PROception indoor amp we also bought.
The one I received is slightly different to that shown. A newer model perhaps. The front hinges out from the back and is held in place with a plastic thumbscrew. The metal amplifier also hinges out to make the fiddly screwing-in of the F-types a bit easier. Black sponge around the cables prevents dirt etc from getting inside. I use mine in the loft as I have a 6' indoor aerial.
Excellent amplifier at a great price, replaced one of a different make which had failed due to water ingress. Used existing 12v power supply without a problem. Highly recommended unit and friendly efficient service as always from Haslemere branch.

Works well with a 12V 100ma amplifier (different manufacturer). Open bottom. Get an extra cable tie to secure it well for the long term - you can easily fit this through the other set of holes on the box. Installed at mast head above an approx 15m cable run to digital TV - signal good. Replaced an amp that had only been installed with insulating tape, fallen off and filled with water..... Box closure appears solid without additional tape - ensure facing prevailing wind.
Why sell item without the power supply required. Makes no sense cant really give it any rating

Easy to install and works with the 12v power supply I already had. Compared to the strap mount of my previous mast amplifier, the cable tie supplied with this PROception unit looks a bit flimsy - only time will tell whether it will last. The 2 year guarantee is an unexpected bonus.
My existing masthead amplifier died. This one was a plug in replacement and seems to do it's job. Not much more to say really
Works great as a replacement for waterlogged masthead amplifier, utilising power supply from competitor. Only reason for not 5 star is that th ecable clip supplied to fit to the aerial mast appears a little flimsy, - only time will tell. Would I buy again? - yes.

A good reliable way to connect 4 TV’s. Can be used inside or outside, it does need a 12V power supply to power it. I’m an aerial installer and use these all the time. A good price as well.

Needed to replace a very old junction box/amplifier so bought this
Purchased with PROception F Type Masthead Amp after the recent storms fried my previous setup, it works ok although it seems to be not as good the Wolsey model that was installed before, as there are still a few channels with bad reception which i did not experience before.
Have bought a few of these over the years, for various projects. The design hasn't changed and I've found myself needing to replace a couple, as the plastic becomes brittle and the connectors - whilst shielded from the elements, are still exposed by way of the large gap at the bottom of the unit. The connectors can cease up and weld themselves to the amp. But overall, good value and the expected level of performance from a masthead amp.
Good quality amplifier , I use these all the time and never had a problem with them .
