I wanted a proof I could join VM input coax cables. To do this I made an extension with some old satellite TV coax cable. It is a fiddle but I got it working. My advice, don't cut the central conductor too short.
Simple butt-to-butt connector. Decent quality but I cannot comment on how it would survive outdoors. I suppose if you used it outdoors, you'd have to weatherproof the connection anyway - heat shrink plastic as a minimum.

I bought the PROception F-Plugs and matching PROception Inline Coupler Satellite F Plugs after the coax from my TV aerial became damaged. These are an effective, very cheap and fairly simple way of joining two pieces of coax together. However please note that these connectors are not waterproof, so for indoor use only unless you waterproof them yourself.
Great value/service/products keep it simple .why say any more,carry on as you are.
Needed one asap and Toolstation was the only place that had them. Significantly cheaper than elsewhere.

Nice and small tight fit, used them to mount TV to wall as antenna socket on TV was pointing straight out of the back which meant the cable was in the way when the TV was mounted, these diverted it perfectly, would of preferred to buy one singularly as I've got nine left over but as I said they're really good fit, as I've bought others elsewhere and they were complete and utter rubbish
Product does what it should, only issue why only sell in packs of 10.

100% cannot go wrong for the price plus getting 10in a pack is a bonus tho I only needed x2 I have plenty of spare
