Arrived in time and good packaging well done buy again in future
This HDMI extender requires two cat5/6 cables not one like normal baluns , unfortunately I had only installed one through a difficult route so didn’t work for me
Used it to extend a connection to a 47” TV that’s used as a cctv monitor, expected the worst having seen other reviews but I have to say it’s been faultless. Won’t run on Cat5 cable (tried it), must be Cat6 and must have 2 cables. Runs in excess of 30m without issue.
Not worth it, 2 cat 6 cable's and the sound was still cutting out. On a 10 metre run of cable.
Don't be put off buying this by the other reviews
Make sure you have tested both your cat5 Cables and HDMI leads
Note these devices only need powering at 1 end.
Waste of time I installed 2 new cat6 shielded cables for a screen in the garden with an overall distance of 25 mts no signal on the tv whatsoever
its not very good 25 meters of eathernet cable its flickers on and off
Absolute rubbish. Tried with a 2m patch cable and the picture was blocky and kept on dropping out.
When I get chance I will be returning it. Unfortunately can't give a zero rating.
Unlike the other reviewer I found this product worked reliably over what is at least a 20m run, I can't be precise because the cat6 cable is preexisting and properly routed.
The bigger issue was as noted the need for a second cable. I used a 10m cat6 cable I had around and it worked fine but the secondary cable was somewhat stretched to get into place.
So buyers need to be aware of this secondary cable requirement. If that's not a problem, then my experiences suggest it should work without issue.
Described as 1 wire link when in fact it needs 2 cables . Even with 2 short patch cables it doesn’t display a picture . Avoid
