The Priory 605AL Ratchet Bi Hexagon Podger Spanner is a lightweight scaffold spanner designed specifically for scaffolding professionals who work at height. Constructed from super-light aircraft aluminium, this reversible scaffold ratchet podger weighs just 140g (5oz) – half the weight of an equivalent steel spanner – making it ideal for reducing fatigue during extended use and minimising the risk of injury if dropped. The short bent design features a flush box profile for working in restricted spaces, whilst the flick switch mechanism allows for quick and easy direction changes without removing the spanner from the fitting. The reversible box-type socket provides exceptional versatility, with a 23mm (1/2 W) socket on one side for older or overseas scaffold fittings, and a 21mm (7/16 W) socket on the other for standard UK scaffolding components. Built for working at height, this scaffold podger spanner includes a hole for attaching a lanyard, ensuring compliance with tool tethering safety requirements on construction sites. The aircraft-grade aluminium construction delivers the strength required for scaffold erection and dismantling whilst significantly reducing the physical strain of carrying multiple tools throughout the working day.
