Great little trap, easy to bait and set up but unfortunately we haven't had any mice engage with it yet. We're thinking they saw it and moved out, in which case it's a genius device.
Now hear me out! The trap worked well, catching a field mouse on the first night we put it out. Fantastic! No problems there.
It did tug at my heart strings in the morning when there was a frantic mouse in a very small space, scrabbling to get out. I bought an extra large one in its place, which worked just as well, but the mouse was calmly sitting in the middle in the morning (yes, turns out we have at least two). I'd personally recommend getting a bigger one!
Well designed defective mouse trap. It is easy to bait and set up and transparent plastic construction makes checking easy. Build quality is more than adequate for most situations but a metal type would perhaps be better in some circumstances. The trap worked within a few hours for me after first trying a "rocking" type trap that was foiled by professor mouse on three occasions. The mouse was unharmed and easy to release some distance away.
Bought this trap after reading other reviews as it looked to be a humane and effective option. So far it has been tripped 4 times which has resulted in the capture and removal of 4 mice from a loft. Baited the removable section with some cheese that was pressed into the bottom corner so they had to work it to eat and placed the trap on a slight downward angle which helped the trap to operate smoothly.
This did exactly what it says caught a mouse within 3 days. Tried peanut butter but found grains of rice worked. A good humane trap - released into park.
Two attempts, mouse snook in and took the food. Third time lucky. It was only a small field mouse.
First night, mouse ate all the bait but didn't trigger the trap! Second night I weighted the 'trigger' (with bluetack) and put less bait down - worked a treat - was a tiny mouse
Absolutely brilliant, but could be stronger. It's a brilliant design, and it works EXTREMELY well. We've caught one mouse a day for 4 consecutive days. As other reviewers have commented, the plastic is rather thin. But the main thing is, it works, and the mice are quickly and safely caught.
We simply put peanut butter in and a bit of chocolate, and left it in an area where the mice were active and leaving lots of mouse poo. And like magic, it caught one. I never cleaned the trap out. I left the old peanut butter and mouse poo in it (to be honest, I did not fancy cleaning it out), but it seems having mouse poo in it reassures them. So they go in.
Overall, a brilliant design, but if a mouse decided to eat its way through the plastic, I don't think the plastic would hold much resistance.
Great product. Caught 3 mice in 2 nights. Would definitely recommend. I'd definitely go for the 3 pack though because if you've got one mouse there’s usually more. I used crunchy nut cornflakes
It may take a while for the mice to accept something new, but I bought 2 of these, caught a mouse in each. Great sensitivity, perfect for mice weighing next to nothing.
Humane and caught the mouse I had in my outhouse straight away
This trap is very small and flimsy. The 'door' of the trap keeps tripping at the slightest movement, i.e placing the trap in place and shutting the cupboard door sets it off. Not very good quality.
I did have to change one as the plastic broke..
However it worked.
I caught mousey mcmouseface in less than a couple of hours and was able to release it in the woods a good distance away.
didnt catch the mouse, the cat did that in the end but seems OK
I bought this because I found evidence of a mouse or mice under my kitchen sink. On the first night it caught a mouse. The following night the trap was activated but there was no mouse in it. The trap has since caught three more mice and seems to have cleared them as there has been no further evidence of mice for a week now.
Great service. Good product. Very good price.....
Works a treat. Easy to set and mouse sets it off every time . Highly recommend
Had a mouse in compost bin. Baited this trap with marmite cheese, and Mr Mouse was in there within a day. Was able to carry him several fields away for an easy release.
Mouse not interested …in fact I think I heard a little laugh
Caught three mice in my garage (one unintentionally) with this before i left it a little too close to a heat source and it melted and would no longer close. Felt like I was going to break it every time I opened it
