My old gate valves would not fully close so I bought these. Seems to work well enough but of they are still new. Longer than the gate valves they replaced so I had to shorten central heating pipes to fit them.
pump valves that might actually work in ~15yrs when someone needs to change the pump...unlike gate valves which just fail (effectively fail on first use...albeit that first use being a long time in the future)
Although these valves work OK, unlike the picture they don't come with 22mm olives and nuts. Theoretically this shouldn't be a problem if you're just changing the valves, but their threads didn't match those on my existing pipework, presumably they've been changed in the name of standardisation, which meant I needed new ones. This meant I had to go out and buy new nuts and olives which I shouldn't have had to do. If these valves are for a new installation, then lack of nuts and olives will also be a problem.
I fitted these as replacement for gate type brass ones that leaked. Much better ball valve action

Very pleased with these valves which were bought to replace leaking gate type valves. They are as suggested by other slightly longer than the gate valve requiring some minimal modifications to the exiting pipework. That said they are overall an extremely well made product that I am sure will provide years of reliable service, the 1/4 turn on/off is a bonus where access is limited.
Excellent price and service collected straight away
Easy fit and really easy to isolate from flow, the levers are so much more long-lasting than screwdriver slot versions. As stated elsewhere, slightly taller so you may have to trim some copper to get them into an existing installation. But I reckon you'll thank yourself in 4yrs when you need to change the pump :-)

Having spent some time looking for replacement pump valves and reading various reviews I decided to purchase these more expensive ones as they appeared to be good quality, and I also liked the hand operated handles for easy isolation.
I am a 'DIY Plumber' and had no real problem with the installation. I had to remove 20mm out of the pipework which I was prepared for, but this wasn't an issue for me. The only very minor problem I had is that the supplied rubber washers are quite thin, so care had to be taken to avoid them moving out of position during assembly.
