Great product, only needed one for an emergency repair, did the job in moments with minimal mess or tools required.
Absolutely terrible I brought 30 of these that aren’t cheap and 22 out if the 30 failed I complained and was basically told nothing can be done , put a lot of time and a lot more expense on the job
These are meant for DIY'ers who like the look of copper fittings, but can't be bothered with solder joints. They look almost as neat as a soldered elbow, but are a lot easier to fit. The downsides are that they cannot be removed like demountable plastic fittings, they don't seem to seal as well as plastic fittings, particularly when there is a sideways load on the joint, and they are considerably more expensive.
Used these to re position a radiator, when inserting the pipe into the fitting it’s very loose which didn’t give much confidence to start with, even with the measured insertion. As soon as the water flowed through the pipe it leaked out of almost all of the fittings. Very unhappy with my purchase and there not exactly cheep !
On the face of it despite preparing pipe really well 2 out of the 3 i used rolled the seal , and pipe had to be re-cut to remove the fitting
I’ve found if you are modifying old copper pipe they are 60-70% successful any imperfections in the pipe and they fail, this is a poor result and because they not demountable, extra work and added costs occur.
On new copper work they perform much better.
I really wasnt sure abiut these fittings to begin with buy they're absolutely great. Fairly expensive but so quick and easy to fit. Used on a pressurised central heating system with no problems at all.
We all know why people like me leave these reviews, it's for the free drill (that no body wins). Here goes anyway. I bought this 10mm elbow push fit, after my initial idea of bending the 10mm microbore pipe wasn't going to work as I wanted it to. I wanted a clean professional finish that matched the copper pipe and theses work a treat. Just like the description says 'push fit' it is as easy as that, no leaks and the fact that 'Air Force One' aka 'the wife' was impressed with the finish look means that it is recommended for future project around the house.
