I always buy Pegler. Fitting these ensures me trouble free operation for years with no issues. Rather spend the extra for piece of mind as it will cost me time to go back when a customer calls.
Replaced previous "leaks when turned" service valve, much better, also easier to use by 70year old hands.
I purchased this valve after having a cheap screwdriver operated stop valve of a different size fail on me. The valve is well made and operates smoothly. The large handle gives a positive indication of the state of the valve, open or closed. However the size of the handle could cause difficulties in installing in tight positions. If you have the room to install this valve I would consider it a sound investment despite the high cost.
It's not the cheapest on the market but the price reflects the premium quality of these valves. Really well made and the ones I got also had the on/off locking device included which was a helpful addition to the installation. Certainly an improvement over the cheap and crude alternatives.
