Comfortable for everyday tasks outside in the garden
Good around gloves, for the price a bargain they ware well and are not bulky
Pair of gloves for £1. Used for non-thorny light-duty gardening tasks. Have a good non-slip grip. They’re not waterproof, but don’t claim to be. The material allows the gloves to be breathe. The gloves are printed “Size 9, L” If that’s your size, they’ll fit like a glove
Exactly what I wanted. Come in various sizes too. Staff very helpful. Nothings a bother to them. Thank you.
Better than I thought they would be, especially for price, will buy again
I use these gloves all the time. Good feel and able to do quite intricate jobs with them on. They are quite tough too and can take some rough handling
Great buy at £1 each!! Really good for the price and do the job well
Always a good basic glove and they last forever! Choose size larger than needed as a tight fit.
As someone whose hands were clearly designed more for typing on a keyboard than cement, I approached mixing sand and cement with a certain... delicacy. My hands are less “calloused tradesman” and more “could moonlight as a hand model if it weren’t for that one dodgy knuckle.” So gloves were essential.
Enter: the Palm Gloves (Large). Black—because if I’m going to mix mortar, I want to look like I mean business. Or at the very least, like I’m about to audition for a very gritty magician act.
Now, let’s address the fit. Described as “Large,” I’d describe them as optimistically large. My hands slid in with a little encouragement, a lot of hope, and possibly a sound effect or two. Are they snug? Yes. Are they comfortable? Surprisingly, also yes. Like a firm handshake from someone who wants to let you know they mean business, but in a polite way.
Durability? Spot on. I’ve used them for mixing cement, handling sand, hauling bits of patio, and even (accidentally) making tea while wearing them. They’ve held up better than I did after the twenty-third bag of mortar. No tears, no rogue bits of gravel making contact with my soft, pianistic fingers.
They’ve now been used not once, not twice, but at least three times—which in glove terms, is basically a committed relationship. Still going strong. Still protecting my digits. Still looking like the DIY equivalent of a dinner suit.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely. Just maybe consider upsizing if your hands are on the larger side of Large. Or if, like me, you enjoy the thrill of wondering whether your gloves will come off without assistance.
Five stars. Black, bold, and just tight enough to remind you that yes, you have been working hard.
I purchased these gloves as my leather ones were beginning to wear out.they go hand in hand with my gimp suit and my wifes, says they feel a lot smooother than the leather ones.cant wait for the weekend.keep it up Toolstation.
Bought 4 pairs for a fiver. Quite thin but fine for the price
It fits like a glove as and thats because it is a glove
Bought as they were on the counter & like having some in my stock. I find them great as lightweight & flexible for light jobs to keep hands cleaner
Large didn’t notice until I opened the package lifted in a hurry however I would describe them As such ,I have average size hands fit well we’re cheap needed in a hurry for a job ideal.
Cheap, serviceable protection for hands. Would recommend.
One step up from disposables. Pretty good grip and cheap enough to renew a pair if required.
Good fit, good price, does the job will buy again very useful when doing the gardening.
False advertising as these clearly cover more than just your palms 🧐
