With the OX 7mm trade diamond drill bit you can cut through tiles with ease and accuracy without breaking the tile. This has a universal chuck fitting so can be used with any drill, including cordless. Can cut through a variety of materials such as porcelain, marble, granite and ceramic. No need to use water as the drill bit has its own self lubricating wax filled center.
Excellent bit , needs a solid template to avoid skimming the tiles.
Tile drill , heavy duty for all tiles but I bought this because I have a towel rail to hang on porcelain tiles and I did the job easily of drilling the holes on the tiles
Designed for hard porcelain tiles. Managed about 8 holes until too blunt / dull to continue. I haven't found anything much better, but....
It works great, usually these type last just long enough to do one or two holes, but this one keeps its edge, and that’s on hard porcelain floor tile!
Made easy work of screwing down a toilet pan through floor tiles.
Only managed to drill 4 holes on porcelain tiles, paid £15 expecting more then 4 holes.
Wouldn’t recommend
Excellent diamond bit . Drills right into hard tiles at 8mm and good enough to quickly enlarge hole to accommodate 15mm pipe .
Very good drill clean holes easy to use makes drilling tiles a breeze
Works great the only thing is that you need to drill with a masonry bit first, then this will clean up inside ready for bolts, nice and easy to use.
Brilliant tool, worked very well though uncertain on life span given the amount of work done.
Drilled three holes only pro title should be removed
Perfect drill bit for stone tiles, dealt with it in less than a min.
After struggling with a conventional bit this went straight through some hard tiles. Cannot comment on its longevity, but it did what I wanted it to.
Keep the tip cool by having a jug of cold water handy and wire brush the tip every 20 secs as it tends to clog up with tile dust. Take your time drilling as porcelain is mega hard, 4 holes took me about an hour but I reckon it could do another 4 with no problems.
Great savings on fantastic heavy duty working tools,
Rambo shredder is amazing 👏
All good. Drilled several holes in thick porcelain tiles and still going strong .Dipped the drill in to cold water a couple of times when drilling and between holes.
works even on the super hard f%ckers. a. b. c. d
Brilliant drill bit, perfect for drilling into tiles.
Probably the best of the three makes of diamond tile drill but I’ve tried, but not by much. The biggest difference is the drill. I suspect a lot of the reviewers saying they don’t work are using a drill that’s too slow. I can get these bits to grind a hole through 10mm porcelain tiles in a few minutes using my cordless drill, which has a theoretical max speed of 1600rpm, but it isn’t easy. My very basic, 20 year old corded drill takes less than a minute to make a hole, because it can run at 2800rpm. The manufacturers of these bits generally recommend using a drill that will manage >2000rpm (not many battery drills). If the diamond bits wear out quickly it’s probably due to excess pressure - all that is needed once through the glazed surface is to hold the bit in contact with the tile and let the bit do the work. Letting them get hot helps the wax core to melt, which also helps stop the centre of the bit get plugged with a porcelain plug.
Really good quality drill bit and excellent speedy delivery. Thankyou
