This an excellent product and looks really good on the door, keeps the draft out, doesn’t get in the way of incoming mail. However it’s not the easiest of things to fit on your own and as I fitted it to an old oak door had to drill pilot holes for the screws. There are no fitting instructions I’m not surprised at that so you need a bit of diy skill and more tools than just a screwdriver to successfully instal one.

It looks great, nice heavy weight, closes fairly quietly but now that it's fitted to my wood door I see that it'll let in rain and wind, it hasn't got a frame, it just hangs off the door. I'm going to have to replace it.

Good quality product as with most of the Old Hill range that I have purchased. Quite heavy in use, which suits as keeps the draught out. Minor issue is that the hinges, being cast, are not exactly perp to the plate, but there is sufficient play to install without it being an issue. However, anyone fixing the hinges first in a perpendicular plane will end up re-fixing. No fixing instructions which might help prevent this.
A well made, competitively priced tidy plate. Fitting was fine but would have helped with a simple paper template to make hole positioning easier for fixing. Overall though excellent value for money!
Fast delivery, package slightly damaged. unfortunately holes for fixing are smaller than original plates and doesn't fit my door. otherwise a solid product.
