I was in the process of renovating two cast iron signs ‘private’ and ‘please close the gate’ and wanted a matching No2 cast iron number on a wooden side gate. This was an excellent choice as it provides value, matched the font, style and size of the pre-existing signs. On arrival I cleaned it and repainted it with black hammerite hammered finish in black together with old signs to achieve a perfect match. Supplied screws were ok as a cross slot although i personally prefer Philips posidriv. Now the colour and relief matches perfectly. The hammerite seals the iron and prevents the rusty leak trails that can soil ironwork. This should provide a number of year’s maintenance free door furniture. Just need to paint the gate now! Definitely recommend this product range for quality & value having used gold coloured alternatives in the past

It’s a door number, and looks great on my door, not much else to say really! But may be worth mentioning that the pre-drilled holes (on the number 6 I purchased at least) were not central, so don’t them as a centre point when positioning.
