At first I thought it would not be bright enough. I work in security and patrol many dark areas. The torch was perfect. The zoom pinpointed areas without going too close. I bought the case to go with it and it fastens to my belt discreetly.
I've been using the Zoom 1000R for a few weeks now. It’s compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry about. I like the adjustable beam, which lets me switch from a wide flood for everyday use to a focused spot when needed. The brightness is impressive on boost, though that setting only lasts about four hours, while the lower settings extend battery life. The anodised aluminium build feels robust, and I haven’t had any issues with dust or water.
I bought this torch last year and it is good. Only criticism is that it doesn't show when the battery is low. When using the brightest setting it can run out when using it for a long time. So I have bought this as a spare so I won't be suddenly left in the dark. It came in a box 20 times larger than necessary which REALLY annoys me.

Bright! The intensity is adjusted by repeated pressing of the power button. There is a red charging and green charged LED but no state of charge indicator during use. It feels sturdy and seems well made.

Great torch with a powerful white light rather than the often yellower white you get with other torches. The very large rechargeable battery gives better life than standard alkaline batteries. Battery is removable so it maybe able to be replaced if it fails in the long term.

this is one brilliant torch, came charged, the first time i used it i could not be-leave how powerful and bright it is and with USB charging no more wasted money on batteries been using it when dog walking at night in the rain worth every penny would definitely recommend it
