Great quality, great price and GREAT service everytime I go to Toolstation
It is a great help for drying clothes outdoor. Much better than the plastic coated wire one we previously used.
I used this to make replace a washing line, nice and strong and thicker than wire.
When you want a specific length such as 20m - you want it to actually BE 20m. Not 19.7m. Bought x4 and have found 2 to be under length.
Not good for anything as it keeps snapping, just as if it’s cotton wool
Bought to replace my old flag pole rope really good item
great stuff for hangjng things out to dry in the wind
Handier than a loose hank and perfect for my first job
Its a good thickness for whatever you need an 8mm rope for.
Good quality for price ,cheapest in town and readily available
Excellent product and price. What more could you ask?
Very disappointed and will be taking back. The rope says its 6mm but is loose woven so has little firmness. There were numerous frays in the weave which would quickly tear under pressure. Very poor quality
Excellent quality. Used for hoisting a large flag.
It's rope. You tie things with it and it works well. Held the tarpaulin down perfectly
Just what I was after, Staff are fabulous as usual.
Right, here we go. A multi-purpose rope. Multi-purpose. What’s that? It’s just a rope. It’s like calling a hammer a ‘multi-purpose’ tool because you can also use it to chase squirrels off your property. It's a hammer, mate. And now we’ve got this: a multi-purpose rope. I’m sorry, what’s it gonna do? Help you hang your washing AND scale a mountain? What’s next? A spoon that doubles as a shovel? A pillow that can turn into a canoe?
Honestly, you’re telling me I can use this for climbing, tying things up, and—and—maybe even pulling someone out of a pit, if they’re in a pit, which is just the worst situation to be in anyway. What do you do, you just get in a pit one day, look up, and go, ‘Well, good thing I’ve got that rope in my pocket’? It’s a very specific scenario, isn’t it? ’Oh, I’m just off to work, but don’t forget your pit rope, love!’
This thing is strong, though. I tested it. I tied it to my tree and used it for a swing, thinking it would snap—just like my hopes and dreams, but no. It held firm. It's like the rope’s got ambition, you know? It’s out here, doing its job, not complaining. It's just a rope, and it's doing it. Which is more than I can say for half the people I know.
But then, I started thinking: Who’s actually using this for all its purposes? What, you’re going to the shops, tie your bags together with it, then climb a tree to escape an angry dog? I’d like to see that. Imagine walking into Toolstation, picking up a length of rope, and the cashier goes, ‘Are you planning to tie up your garden tools, or do you need it for bungee jumping in the car park?’ Yeah, exactly. You just use it for a few knots around a tree and leave it at that. Don’t pretend you’re going to start abseiling down the side of a building to save a kitten. You’re going to be sat at home watching The Chase and wondering why you’ve still got 15 metres of rope in the cupboard for absolutely no reason.
The thing about this rope is it’s trying too hard. It’s like that one mate who turns up to the party with two types of hummus and a pair of shoes that can also double as a boat. We don’t need it, mate. Just turn up with a packet of crisps and leave us alone.
But listen, I’ll give it its due. It’s a good rope. A solid rope. Not a great rope, because let’s not get carried away here, but it does the job. I tied it to my neighbour’s shed after a very specific situation involving a hedge trimmer and a misunderstanding about property lines, and it held up. It didn’t snap, didn’t let me down. It’s like a reliable mate who might not get you into the best clubs, but will absolutely help you move a sofa at 3 AM on a Sunday.
So yeah, five stars for doing what it says on the label, but let’s not pretend it’s going to change your life, yeah? It’s a rope. It’s not a superhero. It’s not a Swiss army knife. It’s not even a decent sandwich. It’s just a rope. Get over it.
Good strong nylon rope at a good price. Comes on a handy holder so it does not get tangled up as you use it.
Excellent product and does exactly what I wanted it to do.
Works fine but could not find the end!
Did eventually after cutting it at random
Didn't waste much.
Having the rope wrapped round the plastic frame makes the job much, much easier.
