Item was available for collection so I picked up the switch and fitted it the same day.
I’m a retired Electrician and my go to accessory was always MK. This pull cord switch was pretty poor quality for an MK bit of kit.
The Earth terminal broke free of the Earth strip when tightened up.

I bought this as i though it would be good quality. When i got it , it came in an open bag with no paperwork and the fixing screws were loose in the bag. As this was twice the price as other makes, i was surprised.
I only install MK and as expected this is as good as all their products. Well made and reliable
Switch looks fine but it isn’t fitted yet. Disappointed that one of the fixing screws and both white screw blanking plugs was missing. Staff member offered to replace it next day but I declined as I didn’t want another 14 mile round trip to collect it.
I would recommend this pull cord switch it's much more heavy duty than other cheap ones and should last, you sometimes only get what you paid for

Solid build quality. Functional but heavy action to switch on, presumably safety related.
I prefer if it was at least 60A as most instant heater showers are rated above 13KW
Needed a replacement shower pull cord switch so went for the best MK quality product
Replaced an old MK pull cord, fortunately the layout hasn't changed so this was a nice straightforward swap. Robust and still good quality
Purchased this switch to replace an identical one which failed after 5 years use on a 8kw shower. Hopefully this one will last a bit longer as MK is usually the manufacturer I would recommend.

Very poor quality product. I had to replace it within a few weeks. MK used to have a good name but sadly its not so good any more.
I needed something reliable and of quality and it does what needed.
I went for the more expensive branded one, but when turning it on it feels like it's about to pull the backbox off the ceiling.
Good quality product. Replaced broken switch. straight forward replacement with no changes to cables required.
