Easy to fit and with much better temperature control than the previous one fitted.
Contacted Mira because my Mira Fino (purchased in 2008) had finally given up the ghost and I needed a direct replacement. Due to my measurements being 153mm between pipes, and not the universal fixings for most generic units, Mira recommended the Form Single Outlet as a direct replacement due to the pipe measurements being exactly the same.
The recommendation was spot on and easy for my plumber to swap out. Very grateful to Mira for their help and good customer service, otherwise this would've been a costly bathroom refurb.
Bought this to replace a Mira 414a External valve shower which was installed around 30 years ago.
Given the age the pipe centres were 129mm where newer showers are generally 150mm as standard. So that cut the field a bit. The Mira Form had two good features to assist replacement installations. Variable pipe centres 110 to 153 range and switchable valve to reverse hot and cold inlets, both of which I needed. It also has a shroud cover which covers the valve and pipe inlets. This cover would cover previous fixing holes in tiles if using to replace bar showers or those where the fixing holes are between the pipe inlets. Not the case for me unfortunately. The shroud also had a small gap between wall and its edge so needed a silicone bead finish. Looks fine but when you have to replace the filters on maintenance the snap on off convenience is lost as the silicone would need redoing. Shower performance and economy balance Ok. However the regulator placed in the shower hose outlet Sid not work well as the hose would not seal correctly with it fitted. I suspect a second rubber hose washer (not supplied) may fix that.
