This weighty but comfortable plane feels like good quality for this price. I had to watch some YouTube videos to help me set it up as I’m new to this level of DIY. I am planing some old doors to make them fit properly after dipping so for the minor adjustments I’m doing it works very well. Maybe the smaller version would have done the job just as well but I have more projects in mind and I think this will stay the course. The wooden handles are comfortable and don’t chafe.

Got this cos i needed a decent plane, thought this might not be that good because of the price. So well constructed, just like the pre modern ones with a well shaped wooden handle, a good weight, good value for money, love it....
With only needing to plane one door I didn’t want any to spend a lot on something that’ll live in the shed, performed excellent and was done in 10mins, We’ll worth the money

Nice solid plane. Good for the money. Use alot on site for getting the last finishes after using a electric plane.

It took a bit of setting up, probably because I didnt know what I was doing....
Then I struggled to get a clean cut, maybe because I didnt know what I was doing and it was a piece of english oak... Still, got the job done, maybe I need to play with it a bit more and watch a few youtube vids...
Lightweight and sturdy, used straight from the box, worked a treat. Removed wood from a sticking door with ease. Highly recommended as a compact, user friendly plane.
