Just the job to repair a back box that was stripping the threads on brass screws.
In fact the socket wouldn't come off because of this and attempting to just thread a steel screw into the back box didn't do it so I was stuck.
This little tool was perfect to recut the threads. Just make sure you are square on and careful - you are tapping a thread.
Does what it's supposed to do.. can't fault it but a little expensive for what it is..
Did the job initially for what it was purchased for. The problem soon returned and 4.mm was needed

Had trouble removing a switch screw when decorating, the screw was bent and had damaged threads, this had damaged the backbox threads, so carefully screwed this tool in the box threads to re-cut "chase" the threads and fitted new screws, really simple and a good fix.
My metal pattresses are older and are a different thread - 4 B.A. so you can't use this tool on them

Saves time and Hassel. Good value any screw lug issues use one of these to sort it. New box put into the wall. The screw lug was poor thread from the factory. This rectified the issue
