This did the job required for, bought two thinking that it would not last long enough to cut 10 holes through 12mm steel but the one did it perfectly.
Good strong product used to widen a hole in steel.
A great allrounder. It was needed to drill a clearance hole through various materials, it glided through easily.
Just as described, worked perfectly to drill larger holes in plastic.
Bought this to drill holes in a chassis (my usual choice was out of stock), and I wasn't impressed. I admit the steel was very thick, two plates at 10mm joined together, so it might be much better on a thin steel, but it didn't last long, two holes max and it was blunt. Don't let HSS fool you, and stay on a slow setting of the drill, otherwise it overheats very quickly even with cutting fluid and goes blunt. It got the job finished but I don't think I would be buying it unless there was no other options.
Another titanium drill that has trouble drilling into Titanium ;-)
Usual good value for money from Toolstation. Drill sharp and ready for use
Simple drill bit - seems to do what it should and worked satisfactorily
Needed this drill bit and it came with a reduced shaft
Excellent product and service as usual from the roolsation team
Wish I had it earlier, as soon as I put it to work it easily glided through everything.
Only used on wooden joists so can't comment on metal.Very sharp. Drills quickly but you do need a reasonably powerful drill, otherwise use a smaller diameter bit to make pilot hole first.
Snapped the end off on first use drilling mild steel, Rubbish.
Quick and efficient service as always start to finish
Does what it’s meant to do. Sharp and straight and long enough.
Quality and the finish of the drill is excellent, but due to the size of the shank diameter being the same, inevitably it will slip in ordinary drills with conventional sized chucks as it is a chunky monkey ! Thus, it is more suited to a pillar drill, if you are going straight into it. If you do have to drill a hole into metal of this diameter, I would suggest having Drill bit diameters of perhaps 7-9-11 mm first to gradually build the hole diameter needed. The reality is they are not expensive to purchase, relying on a 13 mm drill bit alone in my experience requires a lot of effort and patience.
Used to drill out some holes in a mounting back plate, carved through with no effort at all. Recommended.
Good quality drill bits at a very competitive price.
Really sharp bit and easy to use. Only used De Walt efore but so impressed I bought a complete set
Ordered 2 as I needed to drill 8 holes through 2mm box steel. First worked really well initially. As it started to dull, I used the second bit. That was only effective for a couple of holes before I ended up going back to the first to finish the last couple of holes. So a mixed bag really. I was using cutting oil with them too.
