It's only been fitted for a week, but it cut the banging down to tolerable levels. It was fitted to a washing machine. It's not silent, but it's so much better.

Had terrible water hammer after installing a new dishwasher. This has reduced it significantly, though not completely, and also quietened water flow noise in the pipework
Put it on washing machine hose to prevent water-hammer. Problem not solved.

Fitted mini rester to washing machine to stop pipe hammer and it's done the trick, no more noisy pipes.
It hasn't fixed the problem that it was purchased to fix! Washing machine still bangs the pipes despite this being fitted inline.

If your washing machine hose is accessible the mini rester was extremely easy to fit, my time was genuinely 5mins. The reason for only 3 stars is that it didn't completely stop the water hammer, but it has helped.
Great little solution to a big loud problem, after installing a new washing machine we started having ‘water hammer’ as the machine stopped and started filling the machine, this little gadget cured it easy to install and no need of getting a plumber.

My dishwasher and washing machine were causing my pipes to bang. This sorted the issue fitting 1 on either machine.
These are great, but only last about 18 month then the water hammer, pipes banging returns and you then have to replace them.
Had one which failed after 5yrs,its exact replacement lost pressure after a week, a free replacement has started to loose pressure after 8 days. Nothing was different- a straight replacement for one that worked for 5yrs- same position and washing machine so I believe it must be a faulty batch.
The staff in Wednesbury went above and beyond to help me and that is always the case. The water arestor required special fittings to fit my system and the staff helped me with what was required. Arestor is working really well so far
Was a bit sceptical the first time I used this but so glad I found out about this. Used the expansion vessel on washing machines and dishwashers, a garden tap and a toilet. It works like a charm and eliminates almost all noise associated with water gushing through a valve. Highly recommended just not sure how long these last in the real world
