Bought this as the erbauer one I bought for a one off job disassembled itself when I tried to use it for something else.
Also bought the Bosch one for new home saws going forward but since I like running them backwards and because the old ones can nestle in each other it's nice to have an old style one around.
The two metal dowel rods are on a billet and slide forward and back so you just thread on the hole saw, bring the rods up as you get to the bottom of the threading and save a bit of faffing about time.
Slightly dearer than the cheap standard ones but it's a lot easier and quicker to use, so we'll worth it for the agggravaation even if it only last as long. Since it'll make being able to mortar clear the evil things only a bit slower than using the Bosch ones.
