Alway get this as they just work. Just go as fasted as you can with them.
This bit does exactly what it says on the tin if you take your time! Let it grind away at the tile not applying too much pressure to the drill, I found it helped to wiggle slightly now and again to remove debris. It really got me out of a jamb as I need to drill some holes on the edge of a tile when fixing my shower mixer valve. Brilliant!
Got three holes before was no longer usable for another hole
The tool was Great, does the job, would purchase again
Very useful for reaming out smaller holes to fit. Worked in very hard ceramic floor tiles with zero problems.
Best tile drill I ever used
Highly recommended
Used 30 times and still good
Don't push it or wet it and it patiently cuts holes everytime 10/10
These drill bits are great value, I have drilled at least 20 holes in porcelain tiles and there is still plenty of diamond left
I bought this as I was installing a new bathroom and needed to drill a number of holes in the wall tiles (8mm porcelain). Drilled 12 holes so far with no signs of fading yet. Remember to use a mains drill on high speed for best results. It has a flat end, so you will either need a guide to stop it skating across the tile, or carefully hold it at an angle until the surface of the tile is breached, then bring the drill square to the wall. If you don't have a guide, I would just drill a suitable sized hole in a pliece of 18mm ply and stick it to the tile using double sided tape. I bought the smallest (5.5mm), as you can easily open up the hole a bit if you need to, using the drill bit as a rotary rasp.
Drill bit worked great and the best price i could find.
Spent over a hour with other tile drill bits with minimal effect. Changed to this and cut through easily. Great item
Diamond drill maybe not bad, withstood 20 holes in porcelain tile, just a little too expensive
Very good product did the job well, not cheap but very good quality.
After destroying a number of masonry bits I bought this diamond drill bit to go through porcelain tiles. I was shocked at how well it did.
I followed the advice listed in the reviews and this worked well. Put up a blind and still going strong. Use at the recommended rpm and I stopped and sprayed with water every 5-10 seconds and don’t push, after about half way I used a masonry bit to finish.
The most important thing to remember with these, and all diamond drill bits is, spin them fast and keep them cool, and they’ll do their job just fine.
Try to use a corded drill as they have a higher RPM, and dip the tip into water every 5/10 seconds, dependant on the hardness of the tile. Don’t force the bit, by pushing too hard. You won’t go any faster.
I’ve drilled 26 holes with mine and have 8 to go, and there’s still life in the bit for them. Nice quality product.
Quick and simple to use!! When straight through the stubborn tiles and made my job of installing the fan, so much easier!!
Amazing speed in drilling porcelin cups conpared to my older, well used drill which was the same make.
Excellent drill for porcelain tiles good quality drill bit if used as instructions say
Did the job- used with a battery drill at top speed and worked really well. Used on some really hard tiles and some thinner ones
Much better than the one I tried before, did the job well
