Not tried the drils yet but the case is very poor quaiity with 2 sets having broken cases. The teplacement case fell apart on the counter of Toolstation and both boxes had broken wood panels presumably through rough handling during shipping.
Needed to cut a 6 inch hole for an extractor fan

the kit looks ok ,haven't used yet but when delivered the case was dented and smashed and all the kit inside was dislodged

Was the only kit I could find anywhere quick with the 152mm core. Did the job perfectly for our new kitchen extractor hood. Got through a course of red brick and thermalite in about 20 mins and left a perfectly clean hole. Bits are still in decent nick and look as if they'd last.
Amazing core drills. I had to replace old kitchen extractor to new one with bigger duct. Drilled through block wall like butter. I am impressed.
First time using one of these. Drilled a pilot hole all the way through the wall before using it like some of the others suggested. Took me 4 hours to drill through four courses of red brick with the 152mm and 1 hour 20 minutes with the 107mm bit.
The teeth are still in good condition and look like they will last a lot more drilling (not sure my arms will).
Overall I'm happy with my purchase, but have nothing to compare it with, that's why I gave four stars.

Really happy with this core cutting kit does what it’s designed to do
the 107mm is the right size for extract fans, cut through bricks with ease, just take your time and don't rush it.
used it once so far. Worked well and did the job. Remember: do not use the hammer action as it will break the teeth. It is supposed to cut like a grinder would.

It works as good as a dearer one that I used to borrow. Nice sturdy box too.

Just purchased this last week, absolutely fab was so easy to cut hole am defintley throwing old cutter away now.
Needed to drill a 6" hole through a stone wall for a boiler flue. Started by drilling many small holes in a 6" pattern and then chiselling, but it didn't go well. Decided to splash out and get this. Was a bit worried as it's not a cheap set, but it performed really well and made a nice clean hole. Took a while going slow with an SDS drill but it was a straightforward job.
Bought for a specific job and were really good. Cut well, ran true- what more do you want? Only given 4 stars as (like all core cutters to be fair) seem expensive. That said looks like they'll last well.
