Whilst coring a hole through my wall I managed to break the arbor that came with my cheap core drill set. I don't do a lot of core drilling so not wanting to shell out for a new set I was pleased to find that I could buy a replacement compatible arbor. This happened to be slightly longer than my original which wasn't a bad thing.
Expected this to be a universal fit but when used with a small core drill the thread failed quickly
The drill adaptor was robust and the extra length was helpful in the deep bore I was undertaking
Used this with a 2 inch core drill through brick, the shaft snaped at the sds point half way through the first brick and ruined my drill because the broken part would not come out of the chuck
After few years the original Mexco adaptor has died and I needed another one. This would do for another long time
reasonable priced did the job
Got through double skinned wall using light touch and slowly
Used to replace a damaged tip. Exact fitting that enabled the job to be completed.
Replaced after loosing one I had would recommend people thinking of buying one well worth having in toolbox
Just the right length with the core bit to go through to inside without the need of extra extensions. Very nice quality.
The sds arbour bit twisted on first use, i was using with an 110mm core bit.
The SDS connector snapped inside the chuck, had to take the drill to bits to drill it out, and this was on a new build with soft bricks, if you enjoy spending over an hour taking your drill to bits to drill out a snapped connector then it might be for you, but if not buy a decent brand, a lesson learnt for me.
Purchased an SDS drill and forgot about the adapter but click and collect saved the day job done.
perfect fit, nice and solid. worked with two extension bars to get a 52mm hole drilled nicely
Does exactly what it says on the packaging, easy to use.
Note the supplied adaptor is black rather than chrome as pictured. It's average quality, and displayed wear on the SDS flutes after an hour of use with a 115mm core (not hammer obviously).
Incidentally this was bought to replace an earlier one bought from Toolstation also which became distorted making it difficult to remove from the SDS chuck, and unfortunately appears to be of the same quality.
