It's only reasonable quality, but very expensive. I could not get a 84080 1/2" tap to mate with it. Now got to take it back and it's a few months since I bought it....

It waa ample for the job in hand. I had a burst pipe and this was to aid repair
Really poor quality I ended up binning this item as it was so poor, really flimsy and nasty don't waste your money on this
Required as the identical one in use started to leak badly. PTFE used, but suspect it will fail or split. Only installed for 4 months and no frost or extreme weather.
Not at all impressed with this fitting. Despite the outside tap being carefully screwed into the plastic thread without cross-threading, it nonetheless drips at the joint.
Just the right bit of kit needed. Easy to fit and connect.

Like other reviews for this item i too could not get the 1/2" tap to screw square into this thread, ended up all chewed up, won't be buying this rubbish again
Easy to install. I did use PTFE tap on the tap. No issues and works perfectly. Cheapest one I found and I’m happy with it
It was the wrong size so I took it back and ordered the next size up. It was ready for me quite soon on Click and collect, the staff were brilliant. The second one leaked so I bought a JG Speedfit which was twice as expensive but utterly splendid. I shall ask for that in future.
Mixed imperial and metric measurements..IF you know what you are doing this is perfect for the job..The Elbow connects 20mm MDPE external water pipe to a bibcock..which is measured in imperial size....There is no explanation in the Toolstation catalogue ...so if you don't know this, you are scuppered ....I NOW know...thanks to Google and Youtube
I bought this last week and having read other reviews I was aware that the plastic thread for the tap was week and easily cross threaded
With great care and time I managed to thread on the tap OK
This would have been adequate for purpose if the nylon thread had been more substantial.
The bib tap brass thread started to cut a new thread.
Was able to repair it and is now fit for purpose.
I bought two 20mm mdpe wallplates but when I came to fit them I had been given 25mm wallplates so had to take them back. They did not have two 20mm in stock so had to go elsewhere.
good product works well nice positive fit will use more
