McAlpine Ventapipe 50 Air Admittance Valve with dual fit synthetic rubber finger seal outlet for 3"/75mm or 4"/110mm soil pipe.
Valve diaphragm lifts, allowing air to be drawn into the system when it is subjected to negative pressure. On cessation of negative pressure the diaphragm returns to the closed position thereby preventing the escape of foul air into the building.
The valve is designed to open and close spontaneously when required thereby allowing a supply of air to adequately ventilate the system thus ensuring a smooth discharge.

I needed a specific size with a very small overhang as the pipe was tight in a corner due to bathroom furniture being fitted. I explained that to the staff behind the counter, he said he would get the item from stock and that he would open the box to allow me to check the size. It was perfect and a very competitive price!
Did the job. Fitted without issue to replace broken durgo. Will see how it performs going forward.

Straight forward wasy fit and good quality
The item was too cheap, i have doubts after it fell apart if it will do the job i bought it for.
Only lasted 3 months before letting smells out. On inspection found top rubber seal to be warped. Was refunded by Toolstation but hassle my customer and I could do without!
When these go wrong you can certainly notice it, this was a perfect and easy replacement

Bought this as easy to fit. After a short while I started to get foul smells coming in. When I took it off and checked the internal rubber seal which allows air in, it had gone like a concertina and not making a seal. Total waste of money
After 3 months the rubber sealing ring went out of shape so did not seal properly allowing gas and smell out of pipe
Installed a couple of days ago and is working perfectly.
