Definitely a must need connecting a waste pipe in a tight cupboard where I could not run a longer length of waste pipe so had to.use smaller lengths and this was ideal to fet the job done

Don’t bother with inferior imitations. These are moulded to a high standard and always create a leak-free seal. My tip to my friends here is to apply a bit of silicone lubricant spray to the conical rubber seal and threads. This helps everything seat nicely as you tighten the compression nuts and always gives me a first class seal on the pipe.

No substitute for McAlpine. No point using anything else if McAlpine items are in stock. They look better and seal better, simple.
What's to say it's a white coupler for waste pipe.
Connector just what was needed to correct a poor installation by a previous contractor
Worked well when fitting new waste pipe to old where you have slight differences in the pipe diameter and type. Push fit to solvent weld pipe etc.
