This is the one you need to connect European-sized 40mm waste (actual pipe size 35mm outside diameter) to UK-sized 40mm waste (actual pipe size 38mm outside diameter).
I was connecting up 40mm solv-weld pipe to a Bette shower trap.
Perfect, first time, leak free.
Metric to imperial waste pipe connector, perfect fit
As described. Working so far👍. No complaints. Simple
Easy to fit - looks like a quality product. Good price and available off the shelf.
Perfect for joining chrome bath waste pipes to plastic weld pipes
Bought to connect Grohe sink waste (compression) to 40mm solvent weld. Perfect. Second one I have used.
Works on solvent weld to push fit without any issues
good product, good prices - as always with Toolstation
Title says this is a connector but it is really an adapter or reducer. See the User Guide link for the actual sizes. This one connects a 1 1/2 (1.5) inch pipe to a 40mm pipe. I used it to connect a chrome bath drain 1.5” (38mm) to a standard 40mm push fit white waste plastic pipe. Really solid and tight seal. Would recommend. But the description needs updating Toolstation!!
The DIN appellation doesn't give the details of the dimensions of the item. What pipe sizes are connected? Inside and outside diameter details for both ends.
probably the best type of connector
Perfect to connect up IKEA plumbing!
Good quality fitting , leak free connection from British to continental pipe.
I needed to connect a 38mm (external) diameter pipe to a 43mm (external) diameter pipe. It did the job perfectly.
Like most McAlpine stuff this connector was a little more expensive. BUT, like most McAlpine stuff you can trust it to do the trick first time and you can leave it in place confident that it will continue to work reliably for many years. Definitely worth spending a little more on in the first place. However, the specs are a nightmare to track down. If you think you might need this, buy it, try it and return it if it does not do what you expect due to sizes not being accurately described on the Toolstation site OR McAlpine's!
Solved the problem of connecting a 1.5" chromed waste pipe to a 40mm waste system. Worked fine.
The catalogue description is poor as it does not give a clear range of dimensions. The McAlpine site is better, but not by much!
Bought this and it didn't fit but had already burst the packet open
