Product was a direct replacement for a failed unit already installed, this version has had the failure area redesigned which is a grateful improvement!

I usually taste McAlpine quite highly but in this case I wasn't impressed. The metal waste top was really sharp on its edges but heh ho you just have to be careful. Got it fitted alright and all fastened in and then tried the plug which is the worst excuse for a plug in the history of bathing. It just pops straight back out again. I'm just waiting for the moan to come from my customer when he tries it for the first time and I'll have to call around with a better quality one for him free of charge, arghhhhhhh it's not hard to supply a quality one!!!!
I recently fitted the McAlpine combined sink waste and overflow unit and I’m really impressed with the quality and ease of installation. As expected from McAlpine, the components are solid and well-engineered. Everything feels durable, and the stainless steel waste flange gives a clean, polished finish that looks great with most sinks.
What really stood out was how easy it was to fit. The centre pin dry fix waste made installation quick and secure, no awkward fiddling . The overflow pipe was flexible and easy to position, and the compression fittings gave a snug, leak-free connection.

Economical replacement. They insist on putting the white paper washer to seal against the sink , just goes in the bin. I will purchase again and again though

CRAP really!! ! only wanted/needed for the overflow bit, the overflow silver outlet is a PLASTIC shiny silver! NOT metal.but overall Crap, up to you, ill have to see how long it lasts!!
All the chrome bits are plastic and not metal which is a bit disappointing. Care should be taken screwing together the over flow outer piece as its very easy to over tighten and snap the plastic but for money is acceptable quality
