It is a shame that McAlpine only provide an angled connector with this model. In replacing an older waste I required a 90 degree connector and couldn`t fine a way to to buy one from McAlpine. Eventually I bought another McAlpine waste trap that came with a 90 degree connector, at further expense..Why is the connector not available to buy separately?
Nice piece of kit, however it was too big and I had to swap to a smaller unit.
Used different brands but this is the best by far.
Whilst only time will tell it seems to be OK and my plumber tells me a good make.
As a plumber I will say McAlpine products are top quality. Unfortunately today I'm using the tray trap and trying to tighten the trap by hand and the top part that ment to tighten to the main body just keep oberspin. For me is design issues because has just 3-4 trends that ment to tighten to top part of the trap. . really disappointed from the that . Never again that product for shower tray

Goid quality item. Easy to fit and gives you an extra 1cm when fiiting with a riser kit and shower tray.
But these every time. Chrome never discolours and seals always last.

I bought this shower trap as a direct replacement for one that had cracks in the outlet pipe. It was easy to fit, the seals worked well and it generally feels like a quality product that will last a few years.
Excellent shower trap, far better than the cheaper versions.

Bought to replace chrome lid on old trap, quite easy to modify just had to cut out old centre to slide in new, no need to replace all of it
You can't beat McAlpine for sanitary fittings. Well designed, engineered and constructed. You do pay more but with fittings that will be hidden it is crucial to have the best. This shower trap has all these attributes.
No leaks and fits nicely. Plasticky chrome cap seems alright. Drains quickly.
But don't think it is worth £30 for what it is.
Good product but it’s very expensive you can buy way cheaper on line
