Great for older pipework as a fair bit of tightening and can seal properly on the older pvc that is just shy of standard size
Capped off a 1 1/4 pushfit waste pipe with no issues

I really like McAlpine pipe fittings, yes they can be more expensive but they just work. No water damage has to be worth the extra!

Easy to fit and allowed me to cap of a waste pipe, with the option to reinstate at a later date
It worked, used to blank off some copper pipes after taking a sink out, pipes were recessed into wall and now these have been mostly plastered over. Far easier than compression fittings that I've always used before, especially given the tight access I had. Didnt leak even though water was coming from the pipe when fitted!
