This is one of those jobs that only one thing will fix. Draining the condensing boiler into the down pipe. Sure it works for other things too but that is what it was made for and performs perfectly. Better if it was in stock but next day delivery was fine.
I couldn’t get this to seal properly. Unlike the 32/40mm bosses where the seal goes inside the soil pipe this one goes on the outside but that doesn’t seal the boss to the pipe. You also have to cut an elongated hole which is time consuming. After much perseverance I swapped it for a 32mm and reducer.
In principle, this should be a great solution to plumb a condensate overflow pipe from a boiler into an existing soil/vent pipe but I found it quite difficult to install. Cut-out is not a simple hole-saw shape, which in itself makes it trickier (needs to be precise), especially if you're working with confined access...... but also the instructions are not that clear. Like they've been written/produced by someone that's never actually fitted one.
Great, easy to install. Used it for retrofitting of water softener for the discharge pipe.
