First time I have used McAlpine. Fitted without any issues. I check for leaks days later just to be sure. Spot on, no issues.
Quality product as per usual from McAlpine, I only ever use this make as I never have any problems with them, yes they are more expensive but as the saying goes buy cheap buy twice.

Bought this to fit a toilet off-set from the waste. Shocked it was £25! First one broke on the extension section as I was pulling it to the right angle. Second one worked well and does the job. I’m just shocked at the price, but that’s what a monopoly gets you!

It was for a DIY project as my previous pvc pipe seal was leaking. This product is very easy to install as well as sturdy and flexible.

McAlpine is a good make, fitting is how you would expect! I have used their fittings before and had no problem with them. Unfortunately the size is not what I was expecting. Overall size from end to end is 200mm I was hoping for 100mm to a maximum 160mm. the size in the title refers to just the flexible part in the middle of the fitting.

I agree it’s worth the extra cost. Replaced leaking original fit basic straight connector with a slightly misaligned waste to outlet and rippled glaze on outlet and it works perfectly. Note: If are replacing a connector you’ll still need to move pan back away (beware rusty screws) if gap from waste to outlet is less than 160mm.
Good quality, easy to fit did just what I wanted it to do.
The minimum distance stayed on the specification is in a straight line. If you need to have an angle, which you are likely to for this product, you will need to add on an another 20-30 mm.

The rigid plastic section at the pan end is quite long which meant that we needed a 90 degree bend to connect to the waste bend but unfortunately it seemed at best be capable of 80 degrees without risking damaging the flexible section.
