the rubber seal became detached on the old one, this new one works fine no problem.

Replacement strainer sink plug well made but not a decent fit for our sink
Correct diameter but ball bearing on central post to secure plug in closed position too high to function. As a result, the rubber seal sits in the drain and does not act as a strainer. It does just about work as a plug but only with the weight of water above it. I should have returned this as simply useless! Avoid

The basket strainer plug is okay but not as good as old version, it being slack in the central hole of the waste. The ball bearing is too high causing it to be poor fit. Fortunately it has a good seal but not a good design
